DATA PRIVACY FUNDAMENTALS
Course Description
This two-day course provides participants with a foundational knowledge of data privacy, particularly in the Philippine context. Anchored by the Data Privacy Act of 2012, it also touches on key topics featured in relevant issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). It offers aspiring data protection officers and privacy practitioners with a clear blueprint from which they can build a sound and effective privacy program. Content-wise, DP Fundamentals is the equivalent of the now-defunct DPO ACE I course of the NPC, and serves as a springboard towards LIGHTS’s more advanced courses (coming soon).

For an OLS to proceed, at least ten (10) participants are required.

Full payment must be made within the given deadline, after confirmation by LIGHTS that at least 10 participants have registered for a specific training date.

Only those who pay in full on or before the given deadline will be allowed to attend the training.

Participants who wish to gauge their understanding of the basic concepts, principles and requirements of the DPA, its IRR and relevant NPC issuances may take a test developed exclusively by LIGHTS.
